  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 1999 CR125 Parts??

Slosh112

Husqvarna
Hey guys i just bought a 1999 CR125, basically it needs a complete tear down and rebuild. I've found that here in Australia that parts are very hard to track down for this year model bike. I'm pretty confident that wiseco will be able to supply me with a full top and bottom end rebuild kit. the problem is i can't find a set of plastics for it, the set thats on the bike are the originals and are completely rooted. Ive contacted a few of the plastics manufacturers that i know like Acerbis and UFO but they don't make a kit for it.

Does anybody own this model bike? any information about this model bike is hard to find, so if you have any advice or know of any companies that i could use during the rebuild i could really use some help :)

This is my first euro bike i'm used to Yamaha's (I've owned 6 of them) so don't be too harsh with me haha.

the engine parts are pretty available from dealers
but,,,,,,,,
the plastic is another story
in their day Husqvarna was a player and as such aftermarket parts were available, when Cagiva acquired it the brand lost some of it's luster and as such sales
when sales diminish so does the aftermarket and general overstocking of parts so good luck
I currently have a 99 that shares plastic with yours and have been watching some interesting threads about changing to newer plastic that also is still available

they are here but you will need to do some digging
as I recall he's an Aussie like you so its a local thang

I too would like some fresh plastic for my 99.. Anyone ever consider a 3D printer or know someone with one. I wonder if the material used would be impact resistant and flexible

Hey guys I've been doing a lot of searching on the plastics issue for my 99 cr125 and have hopefully solved the issue without doing an expensive subframe/tank conversion, I have got in touch with a guy from www.dcvmx.com they sell vmx and rare plastics etc his name is Tom Claerhout, he told me he can make a duplicate of the old plastics with a mould, I am sending him my tank shrouds and side plates to duplicate for around AU$200. His email is dcplastic@yahoo.com they are in the USA I recommend dropping him a line considering all the two stroke plastics are the same and also new rear fenders are available on eBay and various shops online

So Tom at DCvmx has finished my 99 cr plastics and they're now available on his website guys they fit 95 to 99 all two strokes
