  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 1995 Husky 250 WXE lights and side panels

A Class
I bought a 1995 Husky 250 WXC a year ago and finally got around to riding it last week. I have found all plastic except for the number plate/side panels. Does anyone have any leads on these two parts? Also am trying to get the headlight to work, got a new bulb, its a 12V, 35 W, that should be correct but when I put it in it worked great until I revved the engine and then blew it out. Any ideas why? Thanks, Kevin

the side panels are tough to find and there is no aftermarket solution to them part numbers are 80A0 76029 for the left and 80A0 76030 for the right, they used them from 95 to 99 all 125 250 and 360's, I see in your avatar you have a 2000 125, if you have some spare time try the sub-frame and plastic from your 2000 I hear it fits, that opens up years of plastic availability if nothing else, typically you wont find plastic for an uncommon brand like this, you will find some and not all for the more common brands due to aftermarket replacement parts companies

there should be a voltage regulator mounted to your frame near the steering head, it has fins and is not real big

Thank you, the voltage regulator is in place, do these commonly go out? I have the original panels, they were attacked by a spray can but may be savable if I can't find new ones.

I have the same situation with a 1996 WXE360-2premo actually took pics of the 92- 94 and 95-99 model side plates for comparison. There are minor differences which would require some mods to fit.
