  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Get it and restore it to perfection leave for a few more years sell on.
Personally no exp in 1990 huskys had a1999 250 that motor was ace lugged then sang its heart out up top.
Not sure if they have same motor.

Plastics are a little hard to find for older bikes and the ones on it are usually glued up or brittle so not a learner model.

it is an early 250 engine 92 was when they essentially changed to the engine that carried on for years as the 250/300
don't see any obvious problems, it is clean, but as our limey friend juicy pips said, good luck on plastics

parts are next to impossible to find for 89-91 husqvarna 2 stroke. get one either earlier or later would be my advice. 91 especially. this period is when the italians first started rebranding their cagiva as a husqvarna, sales werent good and parts including plastic are very difficult to get. 88 and earlier, 92 and later are much easier to deal with. that being said im sure its a strong bike that handles well. looks good in the pic

I have a 91 250 WXE. I have had it scince 99. Love the bike. I have never done anything major to it. Had a water pump leak that is about it. I'm sure it could use a new ring. It had a brand new top end when I got it. First few years used it a bunch. Now maybe twice a year. Great pull nice size. One thing to be aware of is the WP shock is impossible to find parts for the forks are getting that way. Plastic your only choice is DG. I have not looked at getting a piston not sure how hard that is. If you can get it for a good price and it runs and shifts well I say go for it. But beware about suspension parts. I would call Halls ask Raymond what he has for them.

this is eligible for the vmx scene in NZ now so as well as trailriding it we can take it to the vmx with the 76 360 and the 82 500

The bike in that pic looks like an 87 or 88 , last of the Swedish Huskies.
it is most definitely not, kicker on opposite side, way different frame, seat shaped different, etc... the italians made plastic that looked like the last of the swedes and basically fit them to cagiva bikes to "ease" the transition. the four strokes however retained mostly the swede design frame and all.

Oh yeah now I see . I never knew they used those radiator shrouds on the 90. I've seen 90 models with the bolt on shrouds that pretty much looked like a Cagiva with the Husky name on the seat.
was a very mixed up time for the company to say the least
