  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi all, I'm new to theworld of huskys but been around the block a few times with others. I picked up a 89 wr for next to nothing that had been rebuilt from the ground up, it's not quite finished but lots of money spent to get the motor together etc. here's the problem for me, I have wires all over the place, no diagram, nothing to show me what's what. I was hoping just to buy a new loom, but I can't find anything for this relic. So here is my request.

I'm looking for anything and everything related to this old weapon.
Owners manual, workshop, wiring, anything you guys can share. Happy to pay if need be I just need whatever information that's available to get her back running. I have a bond with this bike, is like my first girlfriend returning.

Hope you guys can help, running out of sanity and the Internet seems to have forgotten this old girl.

indeed, quite the oddball, even in the world of husqvarna.
first off...you are sure its an 1989 model? as in its really a 1988 cagiva 250 in plastic and colors that "resembles" a 1988 swede husky? just to get that out of the way...besides we all love pictures!

Will take a few close ones but everything seems to say 89 on it. Wp forks with wp rear shock, Brembo everything but is very hard to find much information.

cool, that is for sure 89 then...a great bike and pure CAGIVA. great handling and power. made to look swede after italian takeover..
as for finding parts, late 80s cagiva parts will likely fit as this is very close to the same bike below
cagiva250wmx1988.jpg

parts as you know are very hard to find. halls husqvarna are going to be a good place to check for things..the engine isnt that much different than the last of the italian huskies up to 2013

Here in the states that model would have been a competetion model so the wiring loom would have been a lot different that the rest of the world where the bikes typically have been street legal.

It's got me buggered it just seems to not match models I find of the same year, disc brake rear, tank seems to match 92 model etc. I guess I just need a start of wire colors and I will adapt it to work.
