• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1983 WR430 Case Split

ive seen those, if i worked on more stuff i think i would go for a likewise kit. i was young once trying to get my husky flywheel off and struggling. after seeing everyone treat me like i had ebola at local bike shops i started buying tools to do it myself. im kinda glad i learned that lesson young.

Thanks All, and happy days, me and my mate (mainly my mate) managed to make a PVL puller by looking on a coupe of websites and after a little heat it shot off but it has split my PVL magneto when it hit the ground! A pain I know but guess it had to come off, finally got to the gear box and 4th gear was mashed Just need a 4th gear now, anyone know the part code?, I've got the parts list but it seems the gear list is all of the place.

Thanks again gents.....

I may have all the gears you need.
Do you have some gear numbers that were stamped on them?
You can buy the inner flywheel and it is like $100 dollars.
I broke one getting it off cause someone tack welded it.

Thanks for the offer, of course you beng inn the States is a bit of a pain, not sure if anyone else in the uk have any spare gears? Now the case is open the codes for the 2 gears I need 4th and 5th and are as follows

4th - 715
5th - 357

Of course Dartyppyt If you have them for the right money then maybe we could sort?
Thanks again.....

Those numbers sound familiar and I should have.
I will look tonight.
If I have them and in good shape. You just reimburse me shipping.
Let me make sure they are good.

Here are the gears. If I remember, they came out of bike with very little hours on it.
Black not even worn off dogs.
If you want me to mail them to you. PM me your address.

Merry Christmas!

Also, don't durpose you have another gear of part code of -390? Just noticed that this has one tooth missing!!
Woul love to PM you but struggling to see how.....!

Other option is convert bike to woods or single track riding. Then you don't need anything over 2nd gear!

What's wrong with missing a tooth. I just had a wisdom tooth removed and I'm still going!

That's a long story bout wisdom tooth! Ha went through all that miserable surgery and terrible jaw pain. Come to find out, they got the wrong Toofer!

Terrible when you can't ride or race for 5 months.

Get your gears on the way today or in morning!

Well that's ok! She counted bikes in shop! She says: I count 6 instead of 5? Hummmm? She sharp cookie!

Well they sneak shoes/clothes in! Figured, why not a bike! Just bring it in slowly and in pieces!
When I picked it up. I took it apart (in about 15mins) and had it in 3 pieces under my bed tarp in back of truck.
Soon as coast was clear! I broke out the air ratchet and and had it in two bins within hour!

Look Hun! I think I have enough parts back here to assemble one more bike!

Dartyppt you are a man who can not be trusted!

Justintendo hanging your tranny gear on the tree might surprise your wife .....unless she already knows of course!
