• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1983 250 WR swing arm assembly order ?

Husqvarna
B Class
When I took the swing arm off the bike 3 months ago 4 washers fell on the floor. I thought I remembered or guessed as to where they go. After a couple of hours of unsuccessful attempts at reassembly I have to ask for help. The 4 washers are 12mm ID 32mm OD. 2 are 1mm thick and the other 2 are 2.2 mm thick. The parts book only shows 2 washers and the owners manual is no help at all. Any help is much appreciated.

2 thin ones in between frame gusset and swingarm outer. Thicker ones outside frame gusset and under nuts. insert from clutch side to rear brake side so not have to take off brake lever to get out.

I find and maybe all of you do this is mount/bolt your shocks on first top and bottom and let swing arm swing into the mount. Just saves trying to hold onto swing
arm in one hand, install the hard washers and those tight o rings all at once.

Same when by myself but found a better process.......buy a six pack for a helper! They don't even need to know a flippin thing about a motorcycle....just need to "hold this and listen to what I say"

Anytime for Joe! He knows Huskies! But do you bring out the beer before, during, or after we work on the bike !

I have pretty much given up trying to get those O-Rings in there. I have even put a porta power in there to spread the frame a bit wile I slip everything in there all to no avail. It would be interesting to know how the factory did it on a Production Line.

The O rings should be installed with grease. If the O rings are the correct size they will stay in place and will not drop out.If they are not correct size they may well drop out. I get mine from Phillip at husqvarna-parts.com
