• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1981 CR250

look for the busted arse 400 with poxy blue contact on the sidecovers and black forks! (im getting the shox rebuilt so i hope that gets done in time)

I see a warm front from that big cyclone in WA is heading our way so i think ol mate will be right... 3 bridges will have water running under them!

You dont know anyone handy with a spare set of Husky ITC shocks they could loan me for a few hours on sunday?? i sent mine off for a reseal and it looks like they wont be back by friday:(. much unhappiness in the camp:eek:

Two bits of angle iron and a drill. I'm surprised at an Aussie wussing out just because of a minor issue like rear suspension, when I were a lad back in the '30's!!.....

yeah yeah yeah..shoe box in the middle of road...I've already done the angle iron, but its too soft and the tyre keeps bottoming out so i need the shockers....:D !

Sorry mate don't think I can help, the shocks from my 420 auto are knackered and need a full rebuild, and the curnutt shocks I have probably wont fit and they also have no bumpers on the shaft.
Maybe call Michael at Bendigo Dirtbikes he may be able to help

The all time try hard wipeout special.... sky ground sky ground ooouuggh! that must have hurt!!!

I will do my best to provide rivetting go pro footage. most of it is boring to the unwashed but us masters should be able to find those little nuances that make us luv muddaboiks....

Forgot the go pro and was having a wunnerful time when the great u beut araldited water pump repair failed totally and i was informed that the bike was bleeding all over the place (mollified ATF was being pumped out of the breather all over the bike!) So that stuffed that. i scavved a ride on a wr 500 and buggered off home.

My tanks are nearly finished!!:cheers: Finally.
The red one is for the CR 250, the blue is for my 420 Auto and the black is for show.
