• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1977 CR250 Seat Cover

Ron

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a source for a "heat embossed" seat cover for my 1977 CR250.
This cover was stock on my 1978 250OR and appears to be the original on my 1977.
I'd prefer not to use a smooth cover if possible.
I appreciate any help.
Ron

I don't think any one is selling the cover with embossing in it. I have been looking for one also for my 78 250CR if you find one post here where you got it.

Hi Guy's,

I emailed back and forth with the guy selling this cover on Ebay for a
75 Husqvarna, regarding using this cover on my 77 CR250.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HUSQV...?pt=Motorcycle

The seller offered a full refund if it didn't fit and said he would make a new one from my old cover if necessary.
So I went ahead and bought one
I got the cover and tried putting it on yesterday.

Several problems:

1. Skirt isn't long enough front to back to fit the corners properly.

2. Overall the skirt is to short and difficult to hold while pulling and
holding in place.

3. Husqvarna "H" is printed to low on the back panel and actually
partially wraps under the back of the seat.

I sent pictures to the seller and discribed the troubles I'm having with it.
Hopefully he will follow through with his offer to refund and make me a new one.

I'll keep you guy's posted.
Ron
