• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1976 360WR OR 1981 250WR

well if its gonna be ur everyday [more or less assuming u take the Bul out once in a while] ride i would go with the 81 im guessing its at least a little easier to get parts for and better everything except the motor maybe IMHO never rode a 360 new or old[lets see some Bul pixs] let me guess she wont let you have two of the same brand:cry:

No not the wife thing...... Boils down to the 360 runs and the 250 going to need a fresh top end at least maybe more ...don't know yet. I want get to work on the Buls which I've had sitting around. They are both the same model 1967 Sherpa T 250....rare model only made 700. In your thread did you say you the motor was better on the 360 or 250????

IDK about better, the 360 im guessing is stronger i just really like 81-2s 82s for sure the 250s were updated that year

I have a 76 360wr and I have a 82 430wr too. I haven't ridden the 82 much as I just got it a few weeks ago and the snow is still hanging around here. The 360 has a ton of power. It's a little weak in the suspension department. I put Ohlins on it and it's better but the forks are not as good as the 82. Obviously a big difference in travel. I also have a 78 cr250. The newer bikes are more fun to ride mainly because of the suspension.

I would think my main consideration would be what use do you intend putting them to John ?
I love the 360WR, perfect for trail riding or vintage enduro. Maybe the odd motocross. The 250 has better suspension, but probably not as much grunt, and is much taller. They are both good bikes. If it was me, I would keep them both. I never seem to sell them anyway, so my collection keeps growing.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the feedback ...I have a 56th B day coming in 15 days :oldman: so I should keep both as a "to me from me" present
