• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My Cat Says AREAR!
Hi Guys, since I started on the 2nd 360c I figured I'd start a new thread. I've decided to try a Full Monty, and since I've rebuilt the motor, it shouldn't be too awful bad. I disassembled the frame last night and separated all the groups, suspension, frame, wheels, controls/electric. They are all pretty dismal. But that's how I buy them. The frame at the bottom front cradle is destroyed and the knucklehead that welded it probably didn't clean the grease off, and where the original pieces that were replaced are not going to stay. Here's some pics. I'll post some pics of the finished motor as well so everyone can see the whole thing without going over to the "oval case motors" thread. Also, are these frames chrome moly or something other than steel? Thanks Chris

Sorry Tony, that's not recent, just when i got it out of storage in January. It's been banging around the shop since! Good work on the auto, were you able to find some paint? I have enough to do 2 coats if you want it I'll send it or i can have a new batch made and send it, let me know.

And more pics!

That's mighty generous of you Chris, I took the tank to Cooma, around 55kms from my farm, left it with him as he's snowed under with work, I'll wait and see how he goes first, if no good, let me know a $$$ figure.
Tony.

Started on the frame today after work. Cut the crap and ground it down to the original metal. Tomorrow I'll order some tube to weld in and try to make it look original. I might trim the fronts all the way and start over, we'll see! Pics

Wow! What on earth did the PO do to it, try to teach the blind how to use a stick welder!
Thankfully it has now found the right home, without your ability to repair that frame, it would have ended up on the scrapheap.

Got back from vacation, and had today off so I went ahead and got the new tube cut up and welded in. Still needs some side welds but Much nicer than the crap i cut off!:censored:
