• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I imagine I'll see one in the desert on the start line pretty soon. The new Yamaha 250Fx and 450Fx are quickly gaining popularity for having the same focus.

I have not rode a New Husky TX yet But at this point I believe I will not want to either In one of the test the rider says the low end was off and most of the tester talk how it will be a good motocross bike Well I do not want a MX bike I love my new TE and for what I enjoy doing the TE is the ticket If I can finish King of the Moto and win my class at Last Dog Standing on a stock TE 300 why would I want to change

I wonder if they changed out the pv springs at all in the tests.

I hope I don't regret it but I'm kind of excited about the air forks

LOL excited about air forks.... my buddies FC450 forks suck.... he's sending them in for the spring conversion and a revalve.... to me they sucked almost as bad as the 14' 4cs....

Who already has a fc450 with air forks?
They sucked almost as bad as the 14 4cs?

Air forks just seem to be a love/hate kind of thing. I've read all the reviews and spoken to A,B, and C guys that love them. As a person that buys nothing but used bikes I think it would be fun to have the "latest and greatest." To many tuners to sort it out if it sucks to me and there's always going back to springs. Don't see it as a big risk...

Its a 16' that a semi local MX Pro bought a set to put on.... my buddy bought this bike with them because it was cheap.... hadn't been revalved.... this pro had 2 bikes one with Ohlins and one with these AER forks.... he sold this bike after 6 months with the AER and kept the 4cs forks....

The big risk I see is like many people don't do proper maintenance on their scooters and many very rarely change fork oil.... now your going to (or most will have to ) pay to get the seals to the air chamber maintained.... so a few hundred bucks a couple times a year.... if you saw the wreck I saw on a kx450 by fork seals blowing and dude turning into a lawn dart.... I'll pass on latest greastest for tried and true

Thats contrary to what Im seeing, they are saying its too soft for MX but that can easily be fixed. Im interested in the TE as well....

is it weird that it says..
"To give the TX300 its off-road flair, it comes standard with a 2.6-gallon fuel tank" seems small for a non-mx bike?

I'm with you Roberto..... Good enough for Graham more than enough for me.... sans the forks lol

2.6 gallon should get thru most off road race loops.....
