• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 17 TE 150

went for a ride today and tried the jdjetting blue needle because it has a straight taper with no big steps and it ran really well just a small flat spot half throttle. No spooge after 18 miles…i think i fell in love a second time with this bike...looking forward to a third time with a lectron! Front tire sucks in sand

After reading where some have tried the blue power valve spring with good results I'm trying to order one. So far I've been told by two distributors that KTM has discontinued the part. Anybody that has one where were you able to find it?

How does the 2.1 sound? Quieter than stock? Wife has a 150XCW and i'd like to quieten it and add a spark arrestor to it.

Been wanting a blue spring myself, keep us in the loop if you find one.

If someone has a blue one they could let me borrow for a day or so I'll take it over and have the spring force measured and see if I can't second source it from some place like Lee Springs. I've put inquiries into a couple places across the pond as it may still be available in Europe. Probably going to a lot of effort when it's not really going to do that much but hey, it passes the time.........

This forum has sooooo much info. I'm looking to get a little more out on my 2016 TC 125, did changing the head insert make that big of a difference? I already have a Scalvini pipe with a Buds Racing Silencer, VForce4R Reeds and a slightly opened up air box. Like I said I would like to get a little more omph without dropping the money to make it a 150.

Yep ron is a good dude with fast return time. Definitely more cost effective if you can wait a couple weeks.

Sounds like the need for Walt and Norman to chime in.

Me see one fitty!

Oh those Scalvini pipes are sweet!

There are certainly improvements to be had from a better head design for the 125 but I think if bottom/mid is the target the 150 is your real answer.

Did some mods to my '15 TE125, but 150 conversion was the answer. Way more complicated on my older motor, as it is bore and stroke to do the 150, but very much worth the trouble.

New motor with just a big bore conversion.... No brainer!

I should have fire in the hole, this weekend. I think I have everything and new skid plate is on it's way.

Other than that, I'm getting a new stand and then have to do my forks.

Have to unload and stack hay this am but think that is the only derail.

I'm going to hold off on dialing my jetting till a get a bucket of VP T2.
