  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hi,
where can i buy a 167cc Kit for my WR 125?
Or must i revise the Original Cylinder?
Who bringt it the most Power? High or Low speeds?
How much HP Power bring it on the Wheel?
So much difference to 144cc?

I hope u understand, because im from German and my english isnt good :D

the 165 with FMF 200 pipe refitted makes FAR more power than the 144. I have owned many a hot running 125, 144, and 165 and find the 165 with FMF pipe an amazing do it all motor.

But i have seen that youre living in Vancouver, that far far away :D
I want to collect some infos, because it give not many people who drive 167cc in the 125 Husky.
I have a Cylinder from my old SM/WRE 125 here. Can you do this with this
Cylinder?

I do not think so. Completely different. Yes we are on the other side of the world but have sold several abroad, no big deal. Can sell you extra pistons and rings too so you have them.

I would think it is possible as the big difference with these bikes are the power valve actuation (governed by a cable motor system instead of a linkage system)

a balancing shaft set up in the engine a oil pump system and a much smaller carb then on the regular WR/CR

I would think that the carb is a must change thing when you want to run this kit successfully

I would not know if the power valve/versus CDI mapping is also different but I would almost assume it is

if i look in the parts book from my year the clean cylinder is the same NR for all these models.
