  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 165 kits

Wallybean is the father of the 165 kit you have to get in contact with him

go to the member section of this site (member tab in the header)
type Wallybean in the find member box (right side of the page)

when getting on its profile page click the information tab

then you have the menu option of "starting a conversation".

Good luck

Thanks for the information. I did all of the above, but found nowhere to start a conversation. Maybe Wallybean has to be following me? I believe I've read all of the posts and threads, but I'm not sure if the cylinders are ported or left stock? I know he had talked of down sizing his inventory, I don't want to be left out.

Yes, the cylinders are ported. Get the matching exhaust if you can.
Easiest way to PM is click on a members avatar, in the pop up window is a choice to start a conversation.
WB165 is the most fun you can have with your clothes on

Start a conversation is the last option in the tally presented

click on it and you can type your message

or as NC Steve suggest click the avatar and the start a conversation option is also given

I'd be interested in a 165 when its time, just wondering how much AUD it'd be worth?.... If i can't afford it, what cc can you bore out the stock CR125 bore to? Anything bigger that'll make a noticeable diff.?

the max bore with the original crank and rod will bring you to 165cc

if you stroke the crank you can get a 172cc if I am not mistaken.

from 125 to 165 is a noticeable difference yet its not only the cylinder adaptation but also exhaust and possible carb swap.

for the smiles it gives you a steal of a deal if you ask me.

If you're on a tight budget, 150 kit is a nice boost to a 125 and can use the stock pipe. WB165 really needs the WB pipe which makes the 165 a little spendy. Though for a custom motor and pipe it's a steal, especially if you can afford the Lectron too.

With the discontinued Italian Husky 125s the demand for 165's has also diminished drastically. I have many complete top ends either converted or ready for conversion. I am considering reducing my stock of top ends but need some feedback on if there are enough of you riders that are considering making the 165 plunge or if it is time to scale back. I am ready to go either direction but don't want to sell out the excess if there is enough future demand to keep it sitting on the shelf. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Walt

Hi Wally, do you have any 165 kits left? Please let me know if you do, I am currently running the stock 144 setup, so I'll be needing the pipe, lectron carb & top-end. Hook me up before they're all goooonnne :)

I have a WB 165 kit I would sell if anybody is interested.
The body doesn't like dirt biking any more.
I don't have to Sell it, but if someone wants it. I'd part with it.
