  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 165 kit for husqvarna Wr 125

what kits are you boys running in your 165 huskies, I am based in the uk and would like to know if your using pump fuel too
Thanks

When did you get your 165 Stevie? Since dealing with detonation issues using questionable fuels, I have lowered the compression on all the 165's so you can run pump premium. I would still use the best fuel available.

I have not done the conversion yet I did email maxpower and he told me that race fuel needed to be used on the husky but the Yz 167 was ok for pump fuel, Are you still doing these conversions or know anyone ?
Thanks

My old 2008 cr165 which has 210psi compression that Wallybean built for me needed race gas about 1/3 vp c12 which is 112 octane mixed with premium which is 92 octane in canada. My 2013 wr165 which has 195psi compression that was built by Wallybean can run on straight premium but still mix 1/4 vp c12 but have never heard any detonation. Old cr had a little more snap not sure if it compression or igntion are differance but not enough to worry about and wr does seem to work better off road lugs really well down low. Great motor that acts a lot bigger than it is and very dependable. Get pipe and lectron also worth extra cash.IMG_1043.JPG
