  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc '14 CR125 to Woods Weapon

2nd issue 7602 rear disc guard wouldn't fit in the caliper mount guide slot on the swing arm. So I removed a little aluminum with a grinder and file.

Not sure why this caused problems for you. I have installed many of these guards and never needed to make any mods? hmmm.

Bike is looking pretty good. Can't wait to see it all muddy.

Colo moto-The caliper mount (grey) would not fit into the guide on the swingarm with the disc guard (red) attached either from the front or the rear. I tried removing the guard and sliding it into the guide but then there was not enough clearance to re install the mounting screw. I tried installation without the brake caliper attached, no joy either. I looked at it from every angle and could not come up with another solution.

I only had to remove about 1/4" of material as pictured. I wonder if Husqvarna had a design change on the '14 models and increased the length of the guide on the swingarm?

I just spoke to 7602 racing on the phone, we came to the conclusion that the issue is with Husqvarna. The guide on the swingarm may have been welded in a different location than previously, when they designed the caliper mount, or the length has changed.

Anyway, 7602 make a quality product and I wouldn't hesitate to buy any of their stuff.

Thanks for calling. I'm still not entirely sure why this issue is happening on your bike. The first case I have seen of this. Like we said, could be a slightly longer tab than earlier years, although a buddy with a 2014 txc 310 had no problem mounting the guard to his bike, so hmmmm.

The EE radiator guards were installed today. They look pretty sturdy.

Pipe should be here tomorrow, graphics the next day, then a few more little bling items and the fun begins. Break in, Lectron tuning and suspension adjustment.

^Craig so you were close! shoulda cleaned it before I sent it, looking at your bike its a bit of a let done cleanliness-wise. man that thing looks unreal mate, great work:thumbsup: & damn your garage is clean!

Bike looks real sick!!! I want to buy it when you are tired of it****************************************! Then I can put a Scalvini pipe and silencer on it:applause: But seriously.....It looks AWWWWWWSOME****************************************

bike looks awesome, nice work. maybe i missed it but, what's up with the fuel cap? can we buy those anywhere else? dig it

All those shiny parts and you're going to run the POS Michelin Enduro Comp tires?

The ones on the 125 aren't DOT, so they're not as bad as the ones on the 300...but still I'm betting they get changed sooner rather than later. Wouldn't want those black rims getting scratched up yet though.

Craig-I cleaned it up before I put it on.

Typeone-I got it from Shawbagga second hand, but it's a "Husqvarna Special Part" in their catalog.

Kyle - The tires are Michelin StarCross MX tires, they're not that bad. I'll use them for break in, then change them out. Probably going to get a 18" DID rim and powder coat it for the rear eventually.

Got it almost done, except I screwed up one of the graphic panels:mad:, had to order the replacement. I'll post pics up ASAP.

Also I'm going to send the suspension to ZipTy.

FWIW, I bought 7602 Racing radiator guards for my WR300 and they fit the OEM radiators well. All plastics bolted/fitted back together nicely. Great product and they come in red too.

Craig-Ask BMP again, I'm waiting for them to make another batch right now. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they'll do some in red also. If not I found a place in Pennsylvania-Moto-Heaven (bought the Zeta stuff from them) that has an anodizing tank, maybe they'll anodize it in red for me.
