  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

13 TXC 310 feedback?

FAR are a good group of people. I use to race HS with the kids years ago and back then, they were fast. They use PC items and they just might have spare parts in the back corner to sell. Worth the call!

Weantright, where is Burton,Oh? I am originally from Alliance, Oh. I rode a lot of motocross and harescrambles out there.

40 mile straight north of Alliance. I raced CRA HS for almost 10 years and now my son races both MX and HS. How long agao was that? Did you race with Summers, Lafferty, Andrews??

Ok that makes it sound better. How is your comparison against your 250's?
You can't really compare the 310 to the 250's, it's just so much better. The tc250 IMO is a better bike than the txc250, but the tc is hard to start. If the tc250 had an electric start it would be an awesome bike. FAR has electric starters on their tc's but I can't get the info from them on how to put one on mine.

Ok, I know bouts were you are. I think you are North of Ravenna or Mantua. I had Fred in few of my classes and always watched the back of his jersey. Guy was fast. I sure an heck couldn't catch him!
I used to hang with jimmy Hallman,Mark McLaughlin,Bill Rose, Jeff Frank, Dean Wolf, Rick/Tom Rigg's, etc... Mark's parents ran Malvern. I raced @ Malvern, Western Reserve,Broken Spokes,Hill Top Raceway, Ohio International,Lil Abners, Yankee Lake and the one over in Canal Fulton (can't think of name), but think its Gran Prix?

I loved the Malvern Harescrambles.

Great, glad I'm going 310!

Good choice

The 310 probably has more potential for sells than the 250\450 models currently ... Not sure if the company really feels that way or not though ... 4t machines are easy to ride and very forgivable ...

Not that it is better than a 250 .. It just has more power and probably just as easy to ride and control and the always popular weight allowance is very close to the smaller 250 bike...

Before I went back to the 2strokes, my last bike was an 06 RMZ 250, was ported/polished, berrylium copper seats, titanium valves, hot cams, high compression piston and overbored carb. Was best bike I ever raced. Race tech did the Showas and they were the best boinkers ever had. But it would give you a heart attack kicking the thing, if you stalled it in the hot woods. I always said no more 4 strokes unless it has a button.

Do any of you run vp or sunoco race fuels in them? Or just premium pump?

Sounds like a nightmare story ...

Any good pump high blend gas (92-93) works.

Only reason to buy a 250 is for class racing otherwise it's worth the extra $300 for the 310.

Ya I want to thank Fred Andrews and the guys at FAR they gave me an o'ring for the filter cover after I pinched mine the night before the Iron Man GNCC. Fred's a great guy I think he would have talked about my new bike all day, but told him I had to get the o'ring replaced and to the starting line in less then an hour!!.....Thanks again Fred!!

Good news, bike was delivered to Hall's today and Steve contacted me right away. I was on a waiting list since I waited a lill to pull trigger. Of course they sold out of the new 310's but that was my fault. Hats off to Steve, he emailed me about every day with an update on shipping/delivery. They have been very good at bringing parts, at the last minute to the races to bail us out. Thanx to everyone that gave imput. I will post a ride report. I am coming off a ported 09 144 and a ported 08 WR 250 and previous bike before that was a built RMZ 250. I always liked the RMZ but wanted a little more umf but never wanted a 450.
