  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

13 310R was running great ....

Following this thread with interest, as my bike is similar in issue to this one. 2013 310r with low miles (550km) on mine. Started running like crap. All the usual steps followed, but still not working. Sure wish the it would work but am really having my doubts on buying one what seems to be an unsupported or very little supported Husky.

Regulator....It was a loose regulator...starts right up and seems to run great around town...tomorrow I hit the trails at Croom riding area. Thanks all.

wow. that was a lot of drama for such a simple problem. Also, I would of assumed a fully charged battery would've made the bike run okay for a bit.

Congrats... and thanks very much for coming back with the info. This helps many folks in the future.

I was just about to change the Fuel pump and filter, Seems like the fuel line crossover, under the tank is dissolving little by little, the fuel filter looks black and after installing the fuel line got black on my hands and a rag. from the rubber fuel line. Still looking for a starter delete cover (from a TC). Running stock battery...Not so good, but it's just for show at this point.

So I rode it a couple of times in deep sand, whooped out single track,26001310_10156840270614688_8713055754697207439_n.jpg Florida. I rode it hard and she runs better then ever. Much easier to ride then the 150sx I bought to replace it. The forks work really well, shock is good. Overall handling is very good, not as good as the 150, but good for a heavy 4S. Kickstarts fairly easy and with a fast idle, never stalls or flames out. Actually the 310 motor is great, The CR tranny and short gears that I hated on the street and fire roads in NY work exceptionally well in the deep sand and whooped out straights we have here. Hope SWM or Gas Gas revive this motor as it is sweet. It has good bottom, decent mid then a screaming top end.
Croom off road riding area in Brooksville Florida was packed today. We have been riding there for over a year at least once a week. Today I was surprised to find quite a few hundred riders there. Everything from Beta's to 2 Gas Gas a bunch of KTM's a whole lot of new Yamaha's and even a few Honda's. The Quads were out in force as were the kids bikes. Of course There was no other Italian Husky's just the Austrian kind LOL.
Anyway Happy New Year all. We may go back tomorrow to end the year right, I will keep you posted on the TE310R.

I like to consider it a Cagiva, As I used to race one back in the 80's and they seem to be extinct. My Strada on the other hand is a BMW. That's a whole different story.

good ol croom, practically grew up there, hardrock, thundercross etc... I sure miss FL

She looks good in the pit i bet and Ive gotta agree the 310 is a great package overall, Im not sure that Id let mine go...
