• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Its beautiful to see a little 125 restored.

We have the later 2010 144 and 165 and they are such an under rated motor. Not sure what they were like back in the day though.

Fred HVA - Could you give us a write up of the handling and power and suspension set up ?? What was Auroux like ???

thanks

the 125 hva is very nice to ride.
light and easy
power only in the high.
last month i put a vforce and a 32 keihin better answer on the net gas.
the ohlins gp are very good and the tiny fork is not very rigid
i love riding this bike
auroux is the most beautiful vintage race of france.

Yes, everyone should go and ride Auroux!
We enjoy a whole week there as the campsite in the village is nice with a river to cool down the beers in.
The race is not too hard - with spectacular views. Be sure to STOP and look though, as I have fallen off before trying to ride and look around!!!
Come and join the fun.

See you in August!

Andy.

Hi guys,

Well I am just gonna do it.................... only in my dreams****************************************!!!

I reckon the closest I will get is our own VERI events this year, I am afraid. We do have some lovely views over the Ballarat highlands on our Beaufort ride. Coming up next weekend.

Thanks for the update guys.

Very nice looking bike-I'm doing a 1979 WR250 ISDT . I have a question about the electrical wiring?? I am doing over the original harness and need o know what the white wire goes to ?? I am guessing the rectifier. Thanks Café Husky

i can't reply about the original harness, because it is a new one with a new power dynamo ignition.
