  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I neglected one of my all time favorite bikes, my 09 125 with 144 kit. I had a bad head on last year and bent the forks and triple plus smashed the pipe and other crap. I was not happy and shoved the bike in the corner. Then I cheated on it and bought the 511 which you all know i love. Recently I felt like the 144 needed some love and did some motor work, a KX pipe, new forks, etc. Last night I slapped on some new graphics and greased some bearings. She is good to go again. Had not ridden it in a while and was pleasantly surprised to be reacquainted with how freaking fun these little monsters are.

So here she is, new dress and everything...

NOICE!

I can't find the courage to sell my '11 CR 150. Every time I ride it, I find a new excuse to keep it! Everyone should keep a small bore in the corner for "therapy".

the 511 stole it when it was mangled. it will get one soon. Hand guard too.

- PS riding this weekend with Jake and the boys, should be 4 or so 125/144's there

Looking good! A bit too racy for me also.... Glad to see it back!

It is to racy for me too.

Rode my favorite trails on it today Norm, was so fun. Took some getting used to after a long stint on the 511. Super fun.

Hope things are good for you.

How well do those graphics stay on? I bought my 09 WR250 new in the crate as a left over bike and the stickers were already coming off when I opened the crate.
