That would be nice ! I have the 12 port & race ECU in my house, just waiting for my dealer to install & reset TPS on MY11 TE250 . It sucks and also kind of sweet seeing it sit on the shelf !

Sold my beloved 07 510 SMR (carbed), before X-mass last year. The bike in the pic is an X-Lite 250.

What gearing are you running on the 250? 13/40? A buddy of mine has a TE310 just like mine that he just got sumo wheels for. I've got an older '03 TE610 that is running sumo wheels right now, which is a lot of fun. My first sumo and I'm blown away how manueverable it is on the street. It's silly fun!

That's ok. I think once the ecu and injector is changed the comp needs to be set properly. Also to let u know its the stock Leo pipe with the insert in. If I take it out it runs like shit

My gearing depends where I ride. I was running 13/47 to see what the top end would be in the upper
middle range. My first race is on a very small and tight Kart track, but has a good back straight 60 mph +
This gearing is going to be fun. I bought the 47 to ride the Desert on the dirt wheels Ha Ha.

So for the big tracks, Infinion I will be running 13/42, the 40 was tall for the 250. I ran the bike to work 15 mi. on the freeway and was happy 55-60 mph @ 7500 rpm ish.... with the 42.

The 50 will always be on the dirt wheel, desert is not in my program on this bike. I have to say it is so much fun to have a plated race bike that I can ride anywhere to tune for 2012
season.

Had a GREAT time in West Virginia. TE 250 worked really well and had no issues other than after washing it I noticed the engine had a hiccup (probably due to water getting into an electrical connection). Went away after drying out. Will need to grease up the connections to avoid this in the future. It was a very dry trip with virtually no water holes or mud. Softened up the front suspension by turning the clickers all the way due to the many rocks and bumps. This helped save the arms. Unfortunately I bruised my ribs the first day so didn't to much tough trail for the rest of the trip, but had a great time none the less. Never saw the reserve light come on even after 95km. I still need to figure out exactly how long the bike will run till totally empty.

The ECU needs to be set to match the values of your TPS- Click "set" on Ibeat TPS Screen. (very important)
Since you have Ibeat-you could leave your settings if you didn't make Big changes- Then test, and adjust as needed. /OR write down your current settings and set the Co1,Co2, AND Co3 to "100" (since the factory appears to have settings dialed in)

Just following up here

North American 2011 TE 310 with TXC310ECU/12 port, JD tuner and power-up kit..

..and STOCK Arrow exhaust with spark arrestor in place.

After I installed the ECU/12P I ran the JD tuner for a while at all "4"'s, meaning no alteration to FI function- a "straight-thru" condition. Ran great! Strong and linear pull and spot-on metering from 0 to 10000 RPM.

For fun I tried the recommended TE310 JD settings:

GRN 4/5 - YEL 5 - RED 3/4 - GRN/BLU 4/5 - YEL/BLU 5/6 - RED/BLU 5

It was not happy with this at all. The off idle sputter was back, and the whole thing felt flat and lifeless. Went back to all "4"'s. All was well.

Then I tried JD recommended TXC250 settings:

GRN 4 - YEL 4/5 - RED 3 - GRN/BLU 5 - YEL/BLU 3 - RED/BLU 5

Bingo! No off-idle sputter, mid range seems stronger and now has a NICE snap, and the harder accelerator pump hit is not an issue, even at low revs, with the clean off-idle metering the ECU/12P provides.

Oh and better mileage, although I think I was running really rich trying to cure the off-idle mess with the JD tuner alone, before I did the ECU/12P swap.

It's better than ever now. In fact it's damn near perfect. I'm keeping the JD tuner.

Just ordered mine from Halls. Can't wait!! They had the injector/ECU and an oversized water pump for our TXC 450 in stock. I never cease to be amazed by those guys!

Thanks for the info, I'm getting ready to do the ECU swap tonight with the same setup, JD, stock exhaust, no cat, but plugged (too dang loud for me without it), with the 12 port.

12 port is already in and I love it, but I am excited to get rid of the low end bog.

So you have the dB killer in? I just have the spark arrestor (and yes it's loud). Your results may vary. Try all "4" 's on the JD first, as a baseline. Keep us posted.

Oh, and make sure you ride your bike at least 15min. before making changes. I've found that the metering isn't the same while the bike is warming up. It's so easy to change the settings on the trail anyways..

Yeah, I guess it's the DB killer, (the metal tube inserted in the back of the pipe that's held in with the spring clip). Cat is removed.

My dealer that sold me the ECU has iBeat and said he would reset the COs and TPS to 100.

So you found the JD tuner boosted the performance with those settings (with the new ECU/injector upgrade). I rode a mini enduro this weekend and came in second out of about 8 gals. The leader didn't beat me by much but she was on a two stroke gas gas with a rekluse.. A friend of mine called that a cheater bike.. LOL... any excuse works for me. Ha..

I did notice the low end sputter a bunch of times throughout my ride because I'm not a fan of clutching and revving... I'd like to try out the jd tuner as you did to see if it is any better for this. Overall though the bike worked well.

I tried out a shaved seat that a friend loaned me so that I'm lower to the ground. Now I'm thinking about getting a lowered seat as a spare for the harder rides. But that rekluse still is on my mind.

I suggest saving your money and just get the 2012 TXC 250 ECU and 12 port. It fixes all the low end issues. I tried JD and the 12 port initially, but it's not a fuel problem, it's the ignition and timing, which the JD won't fix. You won't believe the difference with the new ECU.

Oops, didn't read your post very well, maybe you already have the new ECU and 12 port. I turned the JD on and off and didn't notice a huge difference. But that was just around the neighborhood. I'd like to put it on a dino.

I've got 2011 TE250 with new 12 port + ECU, stock exhaust w spark arrestor, and JD tuner.

I'm fighting a very high idle that I am having trouble diagnosing. Sometimes the idle creeps up higher than 3,000.

I have tried to tune it out with the air bypass screw, but not sure what the acceptable range of adjustment is before you need to look at other things like the throttle stop, CO settings, JD settings etc.

All three CO settings are at 100%, the settings are all within one step of 4 on the JD tuner, and the throttle stop is adjusted so that WOT throttle reads 102.0%.

For those that have their bikes running well with the new injector and ECU, would you mind sharing:

(1) how your throttle stops are positioned (WOT% reading), and

(2) how many turns out on the air bypass screw you have on average (e.g. starting point from which you then adjust on trail)?

Someone above said dealer suggested setting TPS to 100%, but in my case that would require screwing the throttle stop in more which would further raise the idle speed!?

MANY THANKS! Trying to get this high idle to come back down to earth!!
