  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

11 TE 310 Ignition Fault

Husqvarna
A Class
I was having trouble with the bike backfiring a bit and it kept on either idling too high or too low by about 500-1000 RPM.

I took it to the shop and they said that it wasnt starting for them for a few times.

Once they check the bike out and found the issue by bypassing the ignition and it worked flawlessly. Now i have to wait for 2 weeks for the part to come in.

Just thought i would share.

I am not sure really, i would think it was somthing to do with the key or something around that part of the ignition? they said they bypassed it and it started fine and idled at the right RPM

I am pretty hands on but they wont let me watch or even go into the workshop.

I will let you know when i find out exactly what went on.

Did you hit the front brake while in the air on the 2nd jump?

If you want to drop the nose the back brake is better and safer.

I am still learning the art of flying and landing,

i just adjusted my weight more than anything in that clip, still working on the brakes in the air.

Got my bike back and they replaced the Ignition where the key go's, when i went to pick the bike up they did a check on it and said that a few codes came up so they needed it for the day, they also said they rang Husky directly and they said to adjust the idle up to 2200rpm from the original 1900rpm. i said ok then and whe i picked up the bike and they rode it around to where i was to pick it up from i looked at the idle and it was at 1900rpm still, weird.

Now after riding it the last week i have noticed that if i try and go a low speed at say 5500rpm the bike surges and when sitting at idle it doesnt run smooth.

Any one got any ideas,

The bike shop is 220km away and i only get in there monthly so if i can tell them exactly what is wrong i might get it don on the weekend i am there and not have to wait a month and thrash my girl's crf150 around to curb my addiction to riding.

My 2012 TE310 is low miles and idles at around 1800, very smooth for the 130 or so miles on it. Not powered up but it is not surging.

I'd suspect the TPS is not set correctly, the throttle linkage may be loose or you may have an air leak. These are just things I've seen mentioned but there still could be other items. My dealer writes down the settings as he changes them, the TPS and the CO 1, 2, 3. They need to tell you what codes they saw and how they were.resolved too. Why not?

I had my TE310 2011 in at the dealer last week and they also adjusted the idle up to 2200 rpm as instructed by Husqvarna Australia I havent been for a ride since picking it up but I was fine before I took it in there they just gave it a check over before its warranty out. I will let you know if I have any problems. I have also purchased a Rekulse clutch but I havent fitted it that a project for next weekend but going by feed back from Cafe Husky riders it should be great to use. I will let you know.

Just too this video of the engine noise, it sounds that it isn't right but it starts fine, handles great and rides fine except a little bit of surging while holding revs at around 5500rpm.

let us know your thoughts please

nar mate they are stag pegz with a skate wheel on there, they are on there so when you are standing up your boots grip the bike and your arms don't get too pumped.
