  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cheers guys

Is there anyone that tested a IMS tank for TE 250-510 -05 on a 300WR 2009?

They have the "old" frame.

Regards Klas

I just checked with justgastanks.com and they tell me that the IMS tanks don't fit. Anyone know of a tank that fits on a 2009 WR300?

BULL! Yes they will. Call Halls and talk to them. Clint at Halls is running one on his 300.

Thanks. I checked the IMS site and they don't list anything for the WR300. The latest tank they've got is Part Number 112415-N1 which is listed for a 2006 WR250. I've got a vague memory that the '09 frame is the same but I'm not sure. Do you know if this is the correct tank?

Hall's don't do international shipping, apparently. Some guys from over here approached them about getting some tanks recently and Hall's weren't keen to ship to Australia.

A lot of sites haven't updated anything for Husky's since '06 or '07, but the tanks do fit. I know several WR300 riders running the smaller IMS tank.

250's and 300's are basically the same bike and have been in that basic chassis forever.

09 and 10 WR's have the new frame, so what's the real verdict?????? I'm surprised no one else picked up on that yet in this discussion.

No way man...thats photoshop.........I heard from a guy......who spoke with another guy (in Italy......or maybe Borneo) who said he owns IMS and they don't even make tanks! They have changed to making planes as the market for armored assualt vehicles has hit rock bottom.

Seriously, good job blue......some just don't get it.

Here are a couple of photos of the IMS 3.4 Gallon tank (Part No: 112415) fitted to my '09 WR300. I've been for one ride with this tank and I didn't notice a whole lot of difference to the stock tank.

How do you mean you didnt notice any difference?

Size?
Weight (full)?
Fuel range? :)

I dont understand why Clarke would design a tank with the fuel up high and not down low like the IMS tanks for Husky and the KTM 300. Nothing against your ride just Clarke.
;)
