  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My stocker is crushed and I need a back up pipe and race against my buddies CRF 450s on the ice. The stocker lacks over-rev and I need a new pipe that I will jet to the temperature etc. These guys are after me big time this year as I spanked em last year and the fun is starting early here in North Jersey. Does the DEP have some over rev or can I use a Gnarly with taller gears? I've heard talk of the Gnarly revving but I don't buy it, had many in the past on other bikes and they were dogs. Merry Christmas fellas.

Either go DEP, PC or the Husky parts pipe coupled with the DEP, PC or FMF silencer if you want top end.

If your exhaust port has a step in the bottom of it where it meets the pipe, then smooth that out. That will help the over rev some.

I bought the gnarly and I had to lean out my main two steps and now it rips from the bottom to the top yet is smooth without a big hit. I would buy another gnarly if I smashed mine tomorrow.

I should add that my WR250 never revved out with the stocker but does with the Gnarly. I was told that if you replace the stock silencer with a turbincore that it will gain a lot more but I think the Turbincore doesn't have a spark arrestor. It made me wonder how the stock pipe would have done with a turbincore.

Copied from their website.. Cheers.. :)
