  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

09 txc 450

Well Dusty I have his bigger brother the 09 TXC 510 and love it. Power is so smooth, clutch so light, trans. so smooth, brakes awsomse, handles like a dream. What else can I say but try one I think you'll like it. Oh welcome to the site.

I just bought one yesterday. I would love to tell you more about it, but I have only ridden it around the yard. It's definitely the most beautiful machine I've ever seen. I know that doesn't help, but I researched bikes until I was sick.... and then I researched some more. I'm confident that I now own the most spectacular machine on the market.

Well Dusty the front was very stiff to start with so I put it on full soft and after a few rides (10 hrs. or so) I am almost back to stock settings. I took it out to a 2.5 mile MX park and the bike suspension was awsome. My son has an 08 KTM SX450 he made a few laps on my TXC and came back and said "this thing makes my bike feel like crap, it's so smooth it's unreal". He said he could make twice the laps without getting tired on my TXC. Another friend that rides an 06 KX450 said my TXC was way better than his KX; I agree with both of them. OH... when I say smooth power don't be fooled it's a very fast bike with continuous pull. No let off, no big hit, and no dips in the curve it's a pulling machine. In many drag races with my son it comes down to the hole shot. Against my friends KX450 he's the first loser every time. Need anything else just ask.

best bike I have ever owned, yes it is stiff to start with but like stated it well get alot better. The tires that come on them were ok at best so I put some Tractionators from Motosportz and they are by the best tires I have ever had.

I really like it in the tight woods better then I ever did my KTM 525, as far as hare scrambles I personally have never done one. I bought this bike to be different not really knowing all that much about husky because no one here sales them. Loved the way they looked and reviews were not that bad thought what the hell if I dont like it I will just turn around and sale it. I am one that believes that a 450 is just like any other 450 because you adjust this to your liking and that to your liking. There is something about this bike that every time I ride it I love it even more than before. I took a risk on buying it and am glad I did, I believe now there is a difference in 450 and that is that Husky is the bike for me.

Well Dusty I ride mine in some pretty tight woods at my house trailing my grandson's on their CRF50 and KX 65 with no problems. It's the first big bike I didn't feel the need to install a Rekluse Pro on. With my e-start, kick stand, and 510 cc's (actuall 501cc) TXC I can't think of something the bike won't do. Phoenix you sound like me only my wife got my bike for me without me knowing it so it wasn't a gamble for me LOL. Oh like you every time I ride it or my little 08 Cr125 Husky I fall in love all over again. These Husky's are great.
