  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

'09 TC450 Aftermarket Exhaust?

nzengineer

Husqvarna
C Class
Hey guys,

I've got an '09 TC450 and as a result of a 3rd gear wheelie that went a bit far, I'm chasing some options for aftermarket pipes (slip on or full system).
Been struggling to find any listed for the bike. Leo Vince were the only company i found with one.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

saw some Jardine exhausts on the online auction site. don't know anything about them though.

I'm pretty sure George has got the pipes, the fitment may be something else but he's certainly set up to do this in his shop. 1 714 540-2920 Uptite Racing.

the fmf slip on for an 08 works with a little fitting 1. enlarge end of pipe to fit exisitng mid and re locate the mounting location on pipe works great

I have never seen an FMF for a 2008. I have seen them for 2009-10. If you have a link please attatch- My buddy still has the stock can on his 2008 TE510- and a FMF would be great- if it exists.

regrettably, he's an :censored: and a crotchety old man. Of course that's just my opinion...

I just sent back 2 FMF 4.1 mufflers. They do NOT fit on a TC450, regardless of what FMF tells you. They were designed for a TXC450 which uses a different mid pipe than the TC does.

I know its one more part to buy- but if the midpipe is different on a SM-TE and TC-TXC- can't you just buy the coresponding midpipe? This assumes the headpipe is the same.... and I don't know what a midpipe costs. But then it would open up a new set of options- which may be worth it if limited otherwise.

the midpipes are very hard to find, believe me I tried. they run about $130 for the steel TE pipe.
FMF only lists the pipes on their site now to fit 09-10 TE510.

is the midpipe different between a TE450 and 510? I wouldnt think so, but you never know.

if anyone needs exact measurements on the powercore 4 muffler, part # 045293, let me know.
I have one on my 09 SM450R.

You can also check the Husqvarna Special Parts catalog. In it they have a full ti system and slip on for the TC, TE, and SM's. All the pipes in it are Arrow's. I don't have it in front of me right now, (its at home) but they have the part numbers listed with it.
