  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 09 cr/wr 125

I just popped a WR125 out of a crate today and I was surprised to see it has the TC 50mm forks on it like the TXCs and TCs. I was expecting the same forks as the WR300s and TEs.

Tech specs in '09 Husky NA brochure say 211lbs.:oldman:

Didn't have the Husky brochure, just lame intronet findings :banghead:

Thanks for the info, 211 sounds more in the ball park!

Nice  Those forks can work very good.

Oh man I'm really hurting now! Hopefully that's the norm:D(no pun intended) and not a fluke. This bike just keeps getting better and better.:notworthy:

Jeez Scott!, I have been trying to keep that a secret from Norman Foley! I knew that was not going to last. He has not opened his crate yet and I wanted him to be surprised. A few months ago we talked about trying to find some of those forks for his bike. Now they come with it, a very excellent touch on this bike. Do you know how hard you can blast the little 125 into turns now with those puppies.

You mean THIS CR-125 from Upstate Cycle? Now at my house as of 1:30 PM today! YUMMY!

Gerald told me the same story about the 450 rider with the shaking hands. I haven't ridden it except for a few spins up the street and around the cul de sac. My first thoughts are: Starts on the first or second kick, VERY light, maximus toss-abilitus, Not as strong as our retired '08 KTM 144 but we'll see after break-in and tweaking the jetting.

I bought this for my son's back-up race bike. I'm thinking I'll be riding it as much as him!

Wow! My neck got weak when I saw these pictures. Does he have anymore? WR's/CR's? Did he do the $1000 off deal?
I had pretty much talked myself out of financing one earlier today, but now I don't know what to do****************************************

I can't wait to hear a full assessment of these bikes...scratch that...no one post anything more about the 125....please!

P.S. I don't know your son, but I hate him....scratch that do you need any help around the house? Anything?:D:lol:

He had a 300 in the back, but I'm not sure if he had any more 125's. He did the 1K Husky Heros discount. I've never bought a bike from Gerald (Upstate) before, but I will again... what a great guy and great shop. True down-to-earth service and genuine appreciation for the customer!

I didn't finance. Without the 1K incentive, I probably wouldn't have considered buying this year. The kid is already set up on an '09 CRF 250-F as his primary bike. But the incentive pushed me over the edge... that and all the positive comments I've read here and on TT. I can't wait to get this thing on dirt!

Drool...wipe.....scuse me while I gaze in envy. It's amazing how
tiny the two-stroke motors look compared to four-strokers.
BTW, is that an old Hodaka Ace100 I see in the background?

Yep, It's a '71 Ace 100 restored to about 90-95%. It's our pit bike. My pride and joy. I learned to ride on Dad's old '66 Ace 90.

Hey Krieg,
Don't you also have an 08 TE 250...your living in small bore heaven!
I do have a TE 250 in the stable. I'm waiting on the TC 250 to become more available and maybe get EFI next year or '11 and I'll be ditching the Honda 250 CRF. Then we'll be 100% Husky! (we'll except for the Hodaka).

I get to uncrate my '09 WR125 at 10:00 EST tomorrow!

:applause: Take some pics there Bro.

This should make up for not being able to attend the Baja.

Maybe next year.:D
