    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Ok. I have read a bit on this, but would like some more info:: I know I can get a p3 tank for $1,200.00. Not a good option for me (funding does not allow) I know I can get that ugly thing (sorry but it is ugly) that goes where your number plate goes (weight carried to high, in my opinion). I know I can bolt another stupid thing on my rear fender, run out of gas stop and refill(not a good option to me in a race situation), I know I could stuff a small bottle under the seat(Also not a good option, not enough range. I know I can play frankenstein and put boiling water in my tank, plug off vent hose and apply app 5 pounds of pressure and possibly expand tank 3 tenths of a gallon (best of all these options if you ask me!) Last but not least I know I could carry gas on my back (very bad option as something really really bad could happen!!) ARE THERE ANY OTHER OPTIONS THAT ANY OF YOU KNOW OF!! Don't tell me to sell Mr. Tiddler as he is cool. and well because they are so cheap right now, not worth much. IS THERE A 4-STROKE TANK THAT WILL WORK?? If I had thought that a big tank option would be such a nightmare I probably would have bought a gas gas instead!! ouch!!
 
Did you read the bit on clarke taking the P3 mold and making plastic tanks? They should be available soonish, it was 6-8 weeks whenever is was first posted.
 
The 2010 WR125 tank is slightly BIGGER than what is claimed by Husqvarna spec sheets.

The problem is getting one. They are on b/o right now from HNA.
 
Join the club! I bought my bike in March and a bigger tank was suppose to be coming.

There is a spot under the seat on the back fender that I was thing of making a small aluminum tank or fiind a weedeater tank that would fit but be secure in a race situation.

I have not done anything but wait is getting long.
 
this whole issue is why i bought a ktm 200xc.

imho my 06 husky handles light years better then the brand new 09 ktm. im working on getting the 144 ready for racing the rest of this year.

i would have loved to buy a brand new wr125, put a husky 144 on and a big tank. the lack of a big tank was a deal breaker for me. i barely make it with the stock 2.9 on the ktm.

i called halls last we and they told me july there should be a tank ready. i was told in february that was going to be march though. time will tell.

in the mean time i can either figure out whats going on with my wr or keep trying to make the 200 work for me. to bad i have a payment on a bike im not truely fond of.
 
This weeks cycle news has a big ad in the back by IMS The ad stated the new Husky 250 4 stroke tanks are avalible the ad also states tank will fit CR/R 125 2 stroke
 
Its definitely a shame. The WR125/150 is probably my favorite bike in production, but I won't consider buying one until there's a reasonably priced, well designed tank on the market that make the bike actually usable for off road riding (and gasp, maybe even finish a 3hr harescrambles without a pit). Hopefully the aftermarket tanks will actually show up sometime soon.
