  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

'07 Te250 won't run without the choke on?

Thanks,
I picked up a few new jets (I'll be running at high altitude some times) and installed a new pilot and cleaned out the main jet again as you suggested and the bike is running great!

Oh man! I know exactly which bike you're talking about. I was actually one of the people trying to swoop that deal up. The funny thing is, I was in the area when the guy told me over the phone that someone was already there and was probably gonna buy it, so I got bummed and went to the nearest dealership to check out the new ones in person. I learned about BMW's special financing going on this month, and now fast forward to the present...and I'm picking up a '12 310. I really like how things worked out for me :D

Ok, now I feel really lucky. You are the second guy on this forum who was eyeing the bike. I wish I could afford a new 310. What's the payment working out too? I've got 3 other bikes and I just couldn't justify the cost of a new one without selling at least a couple of my other bikes!

The payment will be just about $150 a month. I don't think I could have justified the payment right now if it didn't have the plate.

The JD jetting mentioned earlier will make it a completely different bike. I also added a "PowerNow" to the carb. Both will really wake up the low and mid range.
