    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

07 TE 250 fork spring rate

Can anyone tell me what the stock fork spring rate is on the 07 TE 250 with the 45mm Shivers? Or if anyone has played around with these. Let me know your setup. I'm at 200/210 lb rider weight. Tia
 
Can not believe no one has dialed in their 45 shivers with all the members bikes on here.
 
Husky had a habit of putting the same forks on many bikes as they came down the line.

They probably are .42s, or 44s, but I'd have them tested to be sure or measure the front sag.

Most people like lighter springs in the front to help the bike turn. Of course if you are a jumper then all bets are off.

I bet they are good for your weight stock.
 
LTR suspension, for out west is a top tier, super knowledgeable specialist, especially on 45 and 50mm Marzocchi Shiver forks. If you really want your 45mm Shivers to work at local level top tier work with Les.

Another option is ZipTy Racing, most of their racing was on 50mm and the red 48mms , but ZipTy has a direct relationship with Palladino (Pietro) who is THEE Marzocchi factory field technician/engineering technician and owner of Pedro's international suspension. So any info is factory level in nature, "Pedro" is/was the guy on the ground in the pits that serviced all the MXGP and Enduro GP guys that ran Marzocchi forks. Any work here here is top tier level stuff.

IMHO for "out" west these are 2 choices for top tier work on your non-current model 45mm Marzocchi Shiver forks

PS Gas-Gas also used them throughout the mid 2000s as well, so lots of info in the G-G suspension forums.....but you know how forums can be..... I always stick with Pro opinions and work.

How true!

Those forks really do need a revalve.

All my Zokes were custom tuned. ACE and Ferracci on the east coast. They are modded for greater oil flow to take out the harshness.

If you don't have the money and you want to tune stock. Try dropping the oil level from the stock 90mm to like 120mm
An oil change from the stock 7wt to 5wt can help if they are still too harsh.

Best to get an LTR revalve though.
 
4.8 N/mm according to your MY 2007 parts fiche. (.49 Kg/mm)
and on page 140 of the owners manual it also says 4.8 N/mm and mentions other rates are available just to back up the parts fiche
I always advise downloading and keeping those pdfs .
