  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 06 WR125 new to me...

James Patton

Husqvarna
AA Class
Picked up an 06 WR125, it appears in pristine condition. My other husky is a 2012 TE511.
Things to do? Things to watch out for? In general the care and feeding of this model.
I had a CR125 houndog, just like the huskys. Any suggestions, knowledge appreciated.
What are you using in the bottom end? What mixture and type.

Hey! I have a 125 now 165 and a TE511 as well. Pretty much got everything covered with this two  there are endless threads here about the 125 bikes, read on man. Steering head, linkage and swingarm bearings should be checked on any new and old husky. Motors are super solid as is the clutch and gears. I like Amsoil 2 stroke and anything gold and clean in the trans :D I'm not wild over the 45mm forks. Gold valves and springs fixed mine 95%. I did not care for the seats on those years, SeatConcepts might be your friend.

Lets see some pix!

Enjoy

Yes, seat concepts was the answer for the 511. I will keep reading. Always liked a 125, that 165 upgrade might be
In my future. Suspension is wait and see,,,I'll put a couple of hours on it and see what I want to do....

I had an 06 - my first husky 2 stroke .
I had no issues with mine- very reliable.
They can suffer from the bog Id put a fatty on it - also the Lectron carb seems to be the go at the moment . (The TMX is known to a bit finnicky especially with with the wr125)
That will get you going a bit better.
I love the 45mm forks better than newer /stiffer forks on my '11 310
