I purchased a universal X2 headlight for my 06 TE610 from a local dealer. I have a few install questions: 1. Wiring - the Trail Tech plug is three wires and stock plug has four wires any tips on wiring it up? What do I do with running light? Stock wiring: Blue - ground Black - low beam White - high beam Brown - running light I want to keep the stock front turn signals, since the blinkers mounted in the stock headlight shell where did you mount them once the stock headlight was replaced with X2? Anything else I need to know about install? Singletrak
The easiest would be to get the Husky blinker brackets that mount to the upper triple clamp like the 07-08 and ditch the running light. That is how I did my 07 anyway. I didn't remember the blinkers mounting to the headlight in 06. Seem like they would not pass DOT req. that way. Too close together.
