Don't know PC,....mine's not stamped either.
Says something about meeting noise requirements, but nothing
    about the S/A approval.

You can't run a dowel rod down in it though,...and I think that's the
test the rangers do out in Cali when they're checking bikes at the
    trailhead.

Hyde Racing has a combo skid plate/pipe guard, for the 300.
Here's the 250, no pics of the 300 yet.

I have the skidplate only, on order.

They say they are working on frame guards.
I'm saving for the Motosportz rad guards.

My end cap is stamped "Magnum Krizman" with some part number.

Thanks for all the answers to my questions about aftermarket parts. It looks like I've no concerns there.

I'm hoping the Huksy Hero deal gets extended. I know it ended July 1 but I saw the WR on the 4th.... :banghead:

I'm farkling my '09 WR300 now that some parts are arriving (rad guards, skid plate, fork bleeders, axle nut, carb filter). Still more on the way, but in the meantime, is there a JD Jetting kit? I saw JDHQ06 was listed on the JD site for the 2008. Am I thinking clearly that the carb was changed in 2009?

BikeSDP, I don't know about the JD kit.
Husqvarna has a kit, 8000H1014, but it seems
they let you figure out what works.
They don't give you any instructions.
Post up some pics and reviews of your mods.

I just recently added bark busters and a skid plate.
I used the EE Evo Magura bend black clamps, with
    some used Cycra guards.
I drilled and tapped the bar-ends for the bark busters.
I did a DIY job for the inserts, I would recommend the
BRP inserts to anyone looking to do this.

The Hyde skid plate fits great, except the rear mount.
If you are looking to get this make sure they include
the extra mount for the rear.
It's very slippery, my bike slid off of my stand
We'll see how it holds up, I've been on two rides before
I got the skid plate and the frame allready has wounds.

I've got most of my farkling done and I can't wait for the bills to roll in. I'm waiting on a pipe guard from P3, which should ship next week. Still, I've a skid plate from MotoSportz and hand guards from HDB, so it's time to get some heat cycles.

I chose the HDB guards since they are made locally by a small business here in Colorado, owned by a guy who rides. Paul has a great product and great service. I also have a set of those guards on my 610.

Anyway, it's late, so I'll post more of the mods later. I just wanted to give a plug to Highway Dirt Bikes and its owner, Paul.

So, here is my hand guard setup from HDB, with a 93x40 top clamp with 2 1/8" riser and Renthal Carmichael bars. As I told Paul, I just didn't want to drill out the stock bars so the inserts would fit.

Finally decided to ditch the stock computer on the 300. It's not that it doesn't have that much info, it just that the bracketry seemed to be set up for using the headlight that came in the box. I really don't want to use that headlight as it's the same one as on my 610. So anyway, I got a Vector from Kelly and am using the protector from HDB.

I did have to re-route the clutch cable and maybe need to to a little more tweaking to keep the brake line and speedo wire from getting snagged on the left edge of the protector (any ideas?). I'm pretty happy with the Vector. I also have an Enduro Engineering hour meter sitting in the airbox. The Vector does keep track of ART (accumulated ride time), though that's only with the wheel moving.

FWIW... The manual for my '08 states that the silencer is a USFS approved model. It also has "Magnum Krizman" stamped on it. I downloaded the USFS sparky list, and the Magnum Krizman is listed on it.

Just so you know the Krizman is the impeller looking thing inside the silencer as a Spark Arrestor. Instead of a screen it has this impeller thing.

Can anyone who plated their 300 recommend a hydraulic brake light switch? I was looking at this one from BajaDesigns.

Perhaps I should have thought to post this in the common topics area...

The 610 has a switch for the front (8000 A0929) that looks like it will fit the WR, but it's $39 and I am not sure if the wire comes with it, or it's switch only.

Edit: The Husky microswitch for the 610 front brake popped in perfectly. I provided the Husqvarna part number above, but the Brembo number is 98.5029.40. Now on to wiring it... It did come with a short lead as you can see here:
