    The 50.5 is measured in the closed position as shown in the photo above. See the little plate at the bottom with 2 bolts in it. It has a horizontal edge that is resting against the engine casting when the pv is closed. The bolts securing it need to be loosened. Then when you have it in the position you want it, tighten the bolts. It may take a few tries to get it exactly where you want it.

    I know this is an older post but just wanted to know more about the side ports. Should the limiter by the power valve adjustment be set so the side ports are flush when the power valve is fully open? Thanks!

    My manual for my 02 says 48mm. Is it still o.k. to adjust to 50.5? I never use the top end, just to clean it out.

    Cleaned my power-valve today on my new-to-me 07 wr250.
    Is it me or does it seem like the left side off a tooth?
