What Engine Oil For 2003 Cr 125

    Hi guys,

    Sorry if covered before but new here & struggling to navigate the site.

    Just bought a 2003 CR 125, the closest manual I could find is for a 2002, it says use ‘Agip Racing 2T’

    Anyone else use this?

    I have ordered some on eBay, it came but says ‘Scooter’ on it, is this the correct stuff?

    Scooter oil is probably not as good at engine protection as a racing oil....may even be designed to run in an oil injection system, so may be a bit diluted for premix use in your fuel. I would go with major brand of two stroke mix that is designed for racing bikes, like Motorex 2T Crosspower or Motul 800. These oils are designed to run and protect at high dilutions, and I run Motorex in both my 125 and my 300 at 50:1 for trail riding.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response. I have looked & Eni do a ‘racing‘ version so your right, they sent me the wrong product.

    But now I’m confused, I have purchased Putoline mx5 pre mix that I thought was for mixing with the fuel, I purchased this ‘Eni’ Oil for when I do engine oil changes?

    You will need a pre mix oil for your fuel to lubricate the crankcase and cylinder. You will need a light 75-80 weight transmission oil to pour into your transmission.

    Motorex cross power 2t oil & mix 125ml per litre of fuel for your gas tank
    Motorex racing gear oil 10w40 for your transmission lubricant been using them on my CR125 and CR250 for the last 20 years
