  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What accessories cant you find for your 08/09 Husky?

Some gizmo that can make me ride like Meo or Obluckii or Guliamme! Then I can rest and pit for hours while fillig the smallish tank

A larger tank that will accept the stock shrouds, and a nice kick stand that looks factory.

A big tank ********************************************************************************!! that will work with the stock shrouds.

A SideCar :D

Really a TE 510 with a Sidecar...think about.

George has a project 610 SM that was in an accident and lost some of the rear. He said that's his idea too. I think he wants somewhere for Crash to ride with him to work. Now he's got to take the truck.

kickstand, radiator guards, front disc guard...I think that's it for now, oh skid plate

You can get all that stuff from Motosportz! There are many companies making the radiator guards and skid plate, but only a few that make the disc guard. As far as the kickstand goes, well thats a sore subject as you will probably find out.:banghead: The only place that has one that I know of is Motosportz but it requires you to cut the tab off the frame because you have a TE, so I am currently kickstand-less (just find a tree in the trails or a pole in the parking lot).:)

LOL, yeah, I hate my kickstand. When I was breaking the bike in last year I rode it to work. I ended up leaning it against the building ;) We thought about modifying it by cutting the bottom off and inserting a KTM part (can't remember what it's called, plastic insert that goes on the bottom of the stand). But the part is like $70, ouch! So I think we may take it to a welder and see if they can take a chuck out of it. Did you see that enduro engineering is carrying more husky parts now? I may go with their skid plate and radiator guards. I do like Motosports disc guard so my Husky will be getting some presents soon :)

Check out my pics that I just posted. 2009 TXC250 with EE skidplate and Motosportz rear disc guard. Very pleased with both products.

'09 TE-250 wish list

Low profile large tank and wider ratio gear box/or 5th and 6th WR gear kit. To make it more connector road friendly .
