I'm converting my te449 to supermoto and have some questions...

Ordered Warp9 wheel set (white rims, blue hubs, red spokes and nips)
    Front 3.5/17 (ContiForce SM 120/70)
    Rear 5/17 ContiAttack SM 160/60)

    My questions:
    1. Speedo magnet? Anyone use a aftermarket magnet on warp9 conversion? Place to order? Pic of your install? Any tips will help.

    2. Anyone have any chain bite with a 160 on a 5" wide rim?

My understanding is that the 160 won't hit the chain if you have a 5" rear wheel

Yes sir you wouldn't want that ass end getting slapped by the chain that's for sure but biting? well that won't be nice either. It leaves scars.

OH wait a second, Set the magnet and get a "Healtech Speedohealer V4" and it will correct your speedometer reading for the different circumference tire and wheels combo. Nice pair, can I see the other one?

I've been thinking about doing a set for my G450X, But will get the Blue KTM Husky set up. as I can swap them back and forth on my FE 501 by just swapping out the correct wheel spacers. My G450 has a Kato front end on it including the wheel.

I just road the G450X for the first time in about 3 months, 4 blocks over to my shop to get a big tire patch I had over there with a valve stem built into it. I took it and installed it on a thick heavy duty tube that has had the valve stem torn off and use it inside my new ready to install rear stiff sidewall tires and just stick it in there and inflate it to spread the tires carcass out from shipping and leave it like that in the sun for a few days. Or until I'm ready to mount it.

    Works like a charm.

Ended up with one 1mm shim in the rear between the caliper bracket and swingarm and one 1mm shim up front between oem spacer and fork leg. Warp9 sent me the #3 bracket so I'll have to wait for #7 to show up to install the big disc. About to head out for a ride!! image.jpg
