So I thought while I added the Siccass Switch to my 2012 TE511 I would shoot a few pics of the process.
You need to start by pulling the front fender and light.

    Pull these 4 bolts here

And then 1 more up by the speedo

You had to punch the disc from the stock key holder, I used a small screwdriver to break the tabs.

Then you need to open the hole to 1” per the directions. I used a step bit for doing this. These are a great tool for opening up existing holes.

Then per the instructions you needed to file a small “key” into the plastic to keep the switch from rotating. A file on its side works great.

Follow the large wire bundle from the right grip, it will have a connector on it just behind the headlight.

This is where you separate the connector and add the switch between here. And……While you are here, it is a great time to unplug all the connections (1 at a time) and give em a shot of dielectric compound.

Just a dab….. I had to change the routing just a little but everything tucks right in there. I also used a little RTV to bond the switch in place. There was not too much lip left for the plastic to snap into.

And the finished product. No longer any need to worry about someone accidently starting your bike when parked.

I hope this helps answer a few questions.

Best way to do that is to obtain a 2012-2014 wiring harness.

Would that fix the 'feed-back' fault on 2011 bikes, or is there other work needed there?

As far as I have been informed, the harness fixes the zero feed back loop error as well.

Hey y'all, I bought the sicass racing ignition; it works a treat and was quick and easy to install plus is cheaper than the factory part.

Now I have a question for you: I bought my TE511 secondhand and it came with no keys but I now need the steering lock key to pass the UK registration test (I brought it home for the States) but can't find where to buy replacement keys at all. Any advice? The lock cover does have a code of some sort on it, is that helpful to me?
