Picked up a nearly complete TE410 as a box of bits and trying to build a complete bike back up. . It had been dismantled for years. Has very few miles and all internals are in great condition. Reg doc says Jan 1997 first reg. My question is what carb is standard ? The one that came with the bike is a flat slide Keihin with two cables from the twistgrip. All my other huskies have Dellorto's so this is new territory for me. Thanks. Daftmate

The Dellorto is the stock carb for a 97 TE410.

The carb should be a 36mm pumper Dellorto.

Many thanks, exactly what I needed to know. I recall riding my mates 520 KTM and loved the amazing light throttle action which we put down to the flat screen carb. So basically very tempted to try it out, looks quite a fancy piece of kit too.

I'm guessing the Keihin may have been a reasonable upgrade in the day the bikes were relatively new ? So going to buy an overhaul kit for the existing Keihin, clean and refurb and see what happens. Will revert to the trusted Dellorto if it gets difficult. Let you know how it goes.

    Thanks for the info.

    Hi,

My 2001 TE570 came with a Dellorto, the following years came with a Mikuni,

So looks like someone added the Keihin,

Let us know how it goes.
