    There is a mountain range....

If you want to go south.... there is a mountain range in the Mt. Shasta area (near of Redding CA). South of that and the weather is different. Far more likely to be sunny.

South of Redding CA a few hours is "Stonyford" which is my personal favorite.

EDIT - It is a 12 hour drive from the SF bay area to the Canadian border, my guess would be 10-11 hours to Stonyford from the Canadian boarder. There are probably places in eastern WA/OR that might be suitable.

although the wheels have a hollow center that make the bike(rokon) float or you can fill it up with extra fuel...
If it does start snowing there, get this:

Look up Belfair Washington. Just west of Seattle. Not sunny but a good place to ride in the winter as it is low elevation and not much mud as it is a lot of river rock like stuff. Pretty fun place if you know where to find the cool stuff. If you head that way let me know and I'll meet up and show you around.

I have ridden he snow bikes, VERY fun. I have a friend that works at a dealership that picked these up so I'm hoping for more "Demos" this year
