Anyone find a solution for a water damaged shorted out speedometer/dash on a Terra? Only BMW would tie their speedometer to the ECU so that the bike would not run if the speedometer was not operational. Especially crazy with the Terra being an adventure/dual sport bike that would see harsh conditions.
I ordered a new speedometer that matches my VIN number from Austria for nearly $1000 back in December, but here it is April and I still haven't received it. In the meantime, my Terra is a 400 pound paperweight. Grasping at straws, but wondering if someone has figured out a way to fool the ECU so that a aftermarket speedometer, like a Trail Tech Voyager, could be used and that the bike would start. I'd love to get a refund on the $1000!

Did you have a chat to the mob in the Philippines who do dash repairs? They can be found on Facebook.
