For those of you who have recently purchased a ZipTy Oil breather and recovery system for the 449 and 511 you may notice that there is a change to the way the oil goes back to the case. The included installation document may instruct you to run the return line to the Drain Plug as shown in the above picture. You might notice that the fitting is actually sized for the oil screen plug and too small for the drain. There has been an update to the system which has proven to work much better by running the recovered oil to the oil screen plug directly in front of the drain plug, or the middle plug if you prefer. This is where the oil pump draws oil from the case, which will eliminate the back up of oil being pushed into the airbox during sustained high RPM running. Please make sure to connect the return line to the correct position on the left side case and disregard the instructions for replacing the drain plug with the return line.
