    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

Just bought a WR165 yesterday and rode it at Majestic Trails near Bradford PA. I had a 200 EXC for a few weeks and it was a really nice bike except for the trouble I had getting my 60yr old leg high enough to kick start it. I like the WR better for its lighter weight and it's just a better overall fit for me. Super pumped!

These are too nice to trash in the woods .

Bought this 1994 WR360 the other week, great bike and like most some minor things I will deal with is: Very high fuel consumption(around 4 litres for 25km which can not be normal...), hard to start(getting de compression valve), speedo is way out(no big deal at least will not get a speeding fine), quite loud(maybe normal..). Will make this good bike a great bike since I can see lots of potential. I`m not sure if the Keihin PKD or Lectron is the way to go for bit smoother ride and lower consumption and perhaps easier to start, I do understand this is more a moto cross bike than not so I do not expect a road bike smoothness or fuel economy etc. Thanks for having me on this great site :-)

Hi, i am new here.

Just bought my first Husqvarna (and first bike). A WR360 with crankshaft defect, a nice winter project.

Besides the engine repairs i would also really like to change the looks a for the earlier 1992/1994 looks.
Allready got the larger tank, but fitting it needs changing the frame mounting points.

At the back of the foto you can also see parts of my long term Land Rover series 3 restauration.

What kind of tank did you get? My stock tank is around 8 litres and can only get around 50km out of it which means I need to carry extra fuel to most places.

The 8000 70224 - 13 L.
Quite hard to find, there was a breakers with one for sale in the UK (i am from the Netherlands).

Today inspected the gearbox better, oh joy, wont shoft more then 4 gear. And the not always...

Found this forum by chance. Bought a husky wr300 in September as a bit of a rarity. It had sat for a long time, had 160 miles on the dash and the original front tyre!

It was imported from the Tenerife and sold as a 13 with all the paperwork. I then went about getting it road registered and see the Spanish paperwork showing it was sold in march 14. Nice for the reg as it meant when I got it back from DVLA it was a '14 reg

Anyways, I got it for a fair bit less than asking price but there was A LOT wrong with it

I stripped it down to the frame and went about ensuring everything was greased and working as it should (I won't bore on here with the full detail). I started finding things had gone brittle, perished and very much needing some TLC

The original stand was bent, reed block manifold (I think that's the name) brittle and a few other bits which using OEM bike parts and EC Bike I managed to get all genuine stuff

I needed a new throttle, levers, grips, chain (O rings literally falling out) and basically went out building it up

Suspension felt awful so sent it off. Came back to find rear shock after a week was feeling wrong. Took it back to find a hair line crack so had that replaced

Was noticing coolant dropping, did gearbox oil and realised seals had gone. Replaced that. Upgraded original radiators with some HD ones from eBay which I've used on my Mx bikes

The plastics had started to go brittle so replaced the majority except the front light and rear fender

Changed the headlight bulbs to LED, removed the indicators, fitted a tail bag, quadlock and few other small bits and then took it out

First ride I realised the gearing was off and the stock carb was junk

Changed the 48t rear to a 45t which is much much better for the green laning and Enduro I'm doing

Fitted a keihin pwk38 air striker carb and after two small trial and error adjustments I got the jetting pretty spot on (165 main 42 pilot, needle centre and air screw about 3/4 out)

And have since been riding it every weekend while weathers been poor in England. The hour meter was zero when I fitted and is now at 23 hours

I still want to try and get the steering ignition out as the keys been lost by previous. I can see the part but I've no idea how to get this out without damaging it

I tried a key from what I thought was a specialist on these but it didn't work

The dash has also recently got wet and failed so I'm looking at either of these dashes (unless someone has an original they don't want and I'll cover postage)

The more advanced dash I thought would be nice to have a rev counter and bike temp sensor which are easy enough to wire in

I think that's about it. Do find the need for a 6th but looking into it I won't bother switching wr360 gearbox parts as it goes fast enough when I need it on the open stuff

I don't have many videos but a few for anyone interested here;
