    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Petition for urgent ECU/MAP update - Husqvarna 650 Random Low Speed Stall.

Attn; Magneti Marelli, BMW, KTM, you have a duty of care to these owners /customers.

This petition demonstrates to the above companies, they have a duty of care to owners of the Husqvarna 650 Terra/Strada, to correct the "Random Low Speed Stall". This random occurrence can and does place riders in a dangerous situation (stalled in the middle of the road) when negotiating traffic and intersections.

Number of times you been placed in dangerous situation: Three times, the worst of which caused me to stall in an extremely busy city intersection. I was hit from behind by a car that expected me to be moving. I had left the stop light and the bike stalled suddenly and without provocation or driver input. My bike was forced forward by her momentum thus knocking me from the bike placing my person in the oncoming traffic.

Brief comment (optional): This a very serious situation that has been a constant problem since the purchase of this bike. Dealers do not have the MOSS fix to correct this problem. I have filed a complaint with the National Highway and Safety Board. To insure resolution to this problem.

Brief comment (optional) ; Love the bike, and I would like to keep it.... But the random low speed stall issue is a real safety concern. Whether its turning into on coming traffic or being hit from behind the risk is very genuine. Believe Me.
My son has a learners licence and I'm loath and reluctant and not keen to let him ride the TR on the road, because of this stalling issue.

Number of times you been placed in dangerous situation; 20+. I am required to ride the clutch on start of an intersection so the bike will not stall.

If the outside ambient temp is above 25 deg C and the bike is fully warmed up the bikes idol is very erratic. Requires throttle input (blips) so the bike wont stall just idling.

To the best of my knowledge there is no "MOSS" tool available in any dealer in all of Canada.

When pulling out bike stalls, I nearly get read-ended by cars or motorcycles behind me. Every time I start out I must be super defensive on what I will do if the bike stalls again so I can survive.
This problem should be handled by the manufacturer and dealers as a recall, not by charging the customer to pay to fix their mapping flaws. Mapping and driveability changes are not covered under warranty at dealers - and not every owner has a dealer nearby.
