Working on this pair of Ohlins and would like to remove the paint on the reservoirs without removing or damaging what is left of what I believe is gold anodizing from the reservoirs . There may not be much gold left jus trying to keep what is there . Any help or suggestions welcome . Thanks 02FE58AD-FC4A-49D5-A713-00C27D9CFBBA.jpeg 02FE58AD-FC4A-49D5-A713-00C27D9CFBBA.jpeg

Try some DOT 3 brake fluid, it wont harm the anodized reservoir.
Soak a rag and let it sit on it.

Ha! Was going to suggest the same!

Also, you can buy brand new gold reservoirs directly from Ohlins USA, and they are reasonably priced. They are not exactly the same, as they are slightly narrower on the O.D as a "decal protector."

Thank you for that suggestion , I have the paint off the reservoirs just takes time . Now I’m using it for the rest of the shock body . I’m also trying it on a fender but seems to take much longer , different paint probably .
