Are you kidding me? It's ...."honey, come out and look at my new bike/quad/sled", not "honey, can I get a new bike/quad/sled?"

Too many guys wear the pants in the family............but she actually picks em out.

Me and a buddy have created a Excel spreadsheet that helps guys make bad financial decisions regarding toy purchases. (Major Purchase Justification Metric Program 1.0)
It has columns that rank the potential purchase, and include caveats such as:

    - is it a need or a want?
    - is it a true horsepower upgrade?
    - is it a chick magnet?
    - is it frivolous?
    - can it be bought with hidden/tranparent slush funds?
    - can it be stored at a buddy's house?
    - how cool is it compared to the old ride?
    - is your health insurance coverage good? (pins, rods.....helicopter rides)

....And several other categories. We have it rigged where there are no unfavorable answers and the
final response from the program is always "buy now!" You simply put a numerical ranking after each category
and it gives a weighted score........that always comes up flashing green.....via a special, twisted algorithm. (grin)

We even factor in a "domestic shore up kit" cost that includes dinner for two, a cheap cubic zirconia ring
and a dozen roses to help smooth things out. The premium kit may include a weekend getaway with her.

Bottom line...... a new scoot is parked in the garage when all is said and done.

Seeing as she seems open to the idea.

    BETA 300RR Italian toughness,
Fletch just food for thought our little French guy just ate his (ex LR demo) 2013 Beta 300RR bottom end at @ 10K miiles......(450 hours) he only just did the top end first time at @ 350 hours ! He not only rides hardcore enduro stuff but its a plated bike that he actually rides a few miles down highway 8 at freaking 75 mph...to work everyday..... Oh he just got back from an all fourstroke except for him Baja ride of like 350 miles of single track to some high speed pinned across dry lake beds----he GPS'd at 92mph . He said he was sitting on the side of highway 8 near the 5 exchange heading west smiling as she was left destroyed...why because he just back from that Baja ride and if it let go waaay down there it would have been a deep pain to bring back....so she waited until nearby home to finally let go... What a nice girl ! note also he needs new cases the rod ate both sides----new cases left and right under 500 bucks !greabox still perfect i will tell him to check and or replace the shift drum those things wear.

This was the Larry bike I passed on to get my TE300 in early 2014, so LR rode it second half of 13 and raced it in LAMC Tecate HS 2013, then up for sale early 14 first dibs me, but GP Motos made me an offer I couldnt refuse and I passed the deal to Cyril who has been thrashing the Italian girl like a French guy should do since then!!! Beta builds a tough bike.

I'd be all over a 300rr with the oil injection if they weren't so small and compact bikes. Maybe 2017 or 18 they will make them a bit roomier for us old lanky guys with bad knees?

Pmsl don't take one of the only bike manufacturers that cater for us stumpy riders!
My only wish is that they were shorter.

Oh I can tell it's sweet! But I think for racing next year the Husky will be a better choice...mostly because of weight and slight brand loyalty....I won't lie when I took the beta out (hadn't bought the Husky yet) I wanted to hate the beta..i got on it with a bad attitude....said aw I'll sell it lose a $1000 grab a Husky and oh well.... however after break in and then getting on it...i was really impressed.... more so then any gasser or the tm I had...it handles super nice and does everything you ask it! The engine and tranny are both super helpful as well! And the horn is a hoot!!

for the tecate enduro 2014 cyril and i rode the same minute i was mostly a bit faster than him but i elected to stay glued to his rear wheel ,,,he was beeping his horn and slower guys would just move aside as we trained through yes that horn is a great tool

I loved my WR300 as a woods bike but after my second trip to the Nevada desert on it I came to the conclusion
that having that sixth gear would be much nicer. So I traded it in for one of these and I must say that it is the
funnest bike I've ever owned. I'm not a racer, just a weekend warrior and the Beta is just a really cool bike.

My misses said I had too many husky vintage, post vintage restored, running bikes at 14? Being like a Alabama tick and dug in deep I had 25 huskys in a few weeks. Like the brad paisley song goes I'm sure gonna miss her I got another bite. She told him if you go fishing I'll leave you. The misses said nothing. I could be in the bar or casino but I'm home in the garage. I'm sure gonna miss her I got another bike. Lmao

I had an opportunity to ride the 17' Beta 300RR last weekend. Let me tell you I was more than impressed by its capabilities. It delivered tons of smooth power hand over fist, the suspension was perfect straight outta da box. I felt so confident ripping the whoops in fifth. Very predicable. I am a loyal Husky guy but I'm a little upset right now that the because the 17' Beta 300RR is a better bike than my race prepped 15' TE300. Not really an apples to apples comparo because I havent rode the 17 TX300 because I hear guys raving about that bike too.

SOLD MY BETA.......reasons.....barely lost a penny......I don't give a crap if its made in China I'm loyal to the husky crown.......don't need two 8000$ bikes just a new husky and a beater Kdx or gas gas.....dry weight......236 pounds....husky like 212!!!I'm getting old pushed the beta hard showing another fast guy who the boss is with the horn and smashing his back tire several time till he got out of the way ..(all in fun mind you) but with my wuss shoulders they hurt for three days after that...what I will tell you the stock beta is and incredible bike and a better bike then my stock 17,husky tc 250....what I will tell you is I am confident that after I revise gearing add a flywheel weight and revalve the suspension I will be.leaps and bounds faster on the husky....oh yea I'm not a red guy....blue white and yellow are awesome! The average guy trust me can add hand guards to a beta and win! I mean a b or c rider...the tc is a handful in the woods in stock form...(which it should be) but the bike is CRAZY light handles awesome and does not vibrate! So much less then the beta! But I would never hesitate to ride a beta ...they hold there value and I love the horn....beta should sell a motoized enduro version....without estart!! For 500$ less or 800$...would be.a lot lighter!!
