It does not back feed into the main tank?

Yes, the nomad is connected to the main tank via the breather line on the main tank. The Nomad empties first through the main tank.

you have the molded 1 piece fender. I am not fond of my 2011 3 piece fender as it is always has gaps in it. the 2011 and 2012 have different angles, wanna sell it?

I'm pretty sure Kelly will fix me up with a refund or exchange, if not, then yes. I will not be using this on my 2012.

Ok; how easy is this to remove and reinstall? I want one but will only use it during longer trips and don't want to have a huge hassle of removing it. Also, can someone post a photo of the fender without the nomad attached - in other words what does the bracket look like when nomad is removed? Or is it just attached with bungie cords?

It's easy to remove and install. You do need to trim the flange of the rear fender near the fuel cap so the hoses don't get pinched. A small mounting bracket does stay on the fender, but it is just behind the fuel cap and is not a big deal. The tank works well, and you really don't even know it's there when you are riding.

I remove the bracket When the tank is off the bike. It's only one bolt, easy.

I get it now, due to the nomad being higher it will drain first and not backfeed into the tank either due to using the breather line.

As a side note, Can a 2012 fender fit on a 2011? I think it should...

It will scuff your fender a little, especially if you ride in sandy / dusty conditions, so if you are really picky and want a show bike, it might not be for you. My tank is full, so I did not want to take it off, but here's a pic showing the front support with the tank installed on my 2012. June 1 2013 148.JPG

Here you can see where you have to trim the fender where the hose connects to the vent June 1 2013 149.JPG

I don't mind trimming the fender; I don't want a show bike but I don't want something that looks weird when the tanks not on... Hey I also notice u have a FMF ... I ordered one and a PCV programmer ... And I am thinking of getting the auto tune as well ... What are u running ?

The dealer, Gateway BMW, said he did an ECU update in December 2012 when I bought the bike, I have the power up plugged in, so I'm on MY2012 Race MapII.
