FE/FC Licence Plate Light delete Help Plz

I'm finally getting around to ridding my 501s of the ugly/prone to break stock tail assembly, and affixing a new off-road oem 'license plate holder'.

So my question is, what did you guys do with your bike's brown and white wires that lead to the license plate light?

Did you just cut them, cap each of them or tape the ends? Did you somehow disassemble further to preserve the stock components just in case?

Did you reuse these wires in some crafty way? Let me know, thanks!

I just folded them up and zipped tied them together in the battery compartment.

I re mounted the light under my fender to make me a little more visible at night. It was very easy and works perfect.
