No, but the 4-7mm spacer trick really drops the rear.

Add 105-115 race sag really makes the 449-511 a sweet ride in the soft loamy earth. Also I push my forks down so that they are flush with the upper triple clamps.

I have a 2013 TE511. I weigh around 90kg in riding gear. Is the suspension valving and spring rates different between model's and years..

    Greetings:

I just received new Race Tech fork springs and a shock spring for my 2011 TE449. I am planning to just take the top fork caps off and swap the springs. However, the fork springs came with some spacer rings that fit under the spring perch when adjusting preload. Looking at the workshop manual illustrations, I can't see the perches. I spoke to a guy at Race Tech, and he said they would apply to a twin-chamber fork. Do they apply to this stock Kayaba fork?

Separately, the box said they are 460 mm long, but they are actually 453 and 456. Stock are supposed to be 457. Is a 3 mm difference side-by-side enough to worry about? I was planning to drop them in, then see how it feels.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

3mm preload is noticeable. Odd they are that far off. I'm convinced after owning several bikes with externally adjustable fork preload this should be standard on all bikes. Makes a HUGE difference in feel and handling.

    Hi there,
i need someone to help with my spring setup.
As obviously racetech calc is not correct, does anyone know what spring rate i should install.
My weigh is 98kg (217lb) without gear tall 181cm.
My bike is with stock springs and is too soft.
    Thank you in advance

    George
