Has anyone with an '09 WR/CR125 try the IMS TXC tank yet? Fran Bottone talked to Raymond at Hall's and they haven't done it yet. The OEM tank part numbers are different between 4T carb and 2T bikes. In fitting rad guards, there seem to be some differences in the 4T and 2T new style frames. Friend has '09 TXC250 with IMS tank, next week I'll get to try his tank on my bike. I was hoping to get an answer sooner, so I can get it on the way for my upcoming enduro.

I was under the impression that the 08 and up 4 stroke tanks are identicle to the new 09 2 stroke tanks...

they are however... different.... the ball ramp is integral on the 2T tank...but the mounting looks very much the same to me.....

No problem. My buddy is in a knot now as he ordered a WR125 for himself but wants a big tank. He assumed it would fit as well.

So why doesn't it fit? I was going to get a 09 CR125 and Jay Hall told me the IMS tanks from the 08' 4 strokes would fit.....

The newer frame 2 strokes CR/WR 125 should have the same tank as the 4st. right?

Same style frame, but different. Stock 125 tank has different part number than stock TXC/TC tank. Like I said in my first post.... Raymond at Hall's said they hadn't tried one yet and wouldn't commit to it fitting. We were all assuming, but we were wrong.

I want the tank on Johnathan Manzi's WR125 in this photo.....

Although my 08 510 has a IMS tank on it and I had to cut up the plastic body parts to make it work etc. Plus it's FI

If we're just after if it will physically fit I can go put my 510's tank on the 125...:excuseme:

    Will that help?

If they ever build a 125 specific tank I sure hope the put ALL the fuel below the stock tank. Miles of room. I already have plans on how to carry more on mine until the day comes there is a tank. Husky really should offer an option. What is a real capacity and range stock?

Thanks Scott for checking. I'll look at my IMS and 125 when it gets here and see if a slight mod or two might make it work.

I'm going to zip tie 2 pint oil bottles of pre-mix in the airbox where the battery would be. In an AMA sanctioned enduro it's against rules to carry extra fuel, so I'll need to spot some fuel at a reset. I don't think I can make the nearly 50 miles to gas stop or gas availible that most events are doing. I envy guys who have support crew at every reset on the road.

    They are ugly but...

.8 and 1.3, they syphon the gas out automatically. I bet if you mounted your light or CR type plate over it it might not be so hideous. Quick to take on and off. Just a thought.

It isnt as big of a deal in Canada as we must have a gas available every 50kms (35miles). The 125s have been so good on fuel for the last few years, I dont think that the range is going to be as awful as some people think. My buddy can go 2hrs 20mins on a tank on his 08 CR125 and he is a legit "A" HS racer.

The 08 is 2.5 gallons though. On my wr with a 36mm carb I can get 65 miles of trail riding if I take it easy on the road sections. I think the 09 is 1.8 gallons! I hope there is going to be a big tank option otherwise I don't see myself ever buying one.

I hoped the IMS would fit as I really like the new one compared the the huge modle that fits my 06.
